Vanuatu Bureau of Standard Functions
- Promote standardization in industry and commerce.
- Depository for all standards.
- Preparation of draft standards and to declare them as Vanuatu Standards.
- Provide for the use of standard marks.
- Arrange or provide facilities for examination and testing of commodities and any material or substance manufactured, produced, processed or treated.
- Provide for the testing of commodities manufactured in Vanuatu or imported into Vanuatu.
- Provide for the assessment and certification of manufacturing, process or management systems.
- Provide for the examination, testing and calibration of instruments, appliances, apparatus and weights and measures.
- Keep and maintain the National and Secondary Standards for weights and measures and calibrate the working Standards.
