Calibration Services

The Calibration Services of the Vanuatu Bureau of Standards (VBS) ensure that measuring instruments, equipment, and devices used in trade, industry, and laboratories are accurate and reliable. Under the Bureau of Standards Act No. 14 of 2016, VBS is responsible for maintaining the National and Secondary Standards for weights and measures, and for providing calibration services that uphold confidence in measurement across all sectors.

Through internationally recognized procedures, the Bureau calibrates:

• Scale calibration of meat Abattoir
• Other calibration is yet to be done by VBS Laboratories e.g. Kava, fish Scale etc.
